Course Description:
This training examines the often-unseen emotional, mental, and physical demands placed on caregivers, referred to as the “invisible load.” Participants will explore how chronic caregiving stress can manifest as burnout, depression, and trauma, impacting both personal well-being and professional functioning. The presentation highlights the role of systemic expectations, cultural norms, and identity-based pressures in sustaining caregiver overload. Attendees will be guided through interactive reflection, case-based discussion, and evidence-based strategies—including cognitive-behavioral, somatic, and attachment-informed interventions—to better support caregivers in clinical and community settings.
