What
A Leadership Summit
The current state of the Detroit's economy continues to be an enormous stress or for local citizens and communities. It can affect every aspect of people's lives by creating stress at home, in the workplace and in communities at large. Ongoing financial stress can lead to a variety of physical and mental health issues including anxiety and depression, sleep disorders, alcoholism and other substance use disorders.
This leadership summit intends to address the issues relevant to economic recession and its effects on the mental health of local communities. The forum will encourage community-wide discussions about the significance of mental health disparities, social determinants of health and effects of economic disaster and showcase local and national approaches designed to help citizens cope with the situation and achieve wellness in spite of economic challenges. The summit will foster knowledge sharing and will facilitate collaborations and networking to bring positive change.
