GAK Services LLC Presents: Raising Awareness On Mental Health Issues In the African Community

This half day seminar will focus on how mental health issues impactthe African community in the metro Detroit area. The stigma attached to seeking treatment in the African Community, how this impacts individual’s families and the community as a whole will be explored and discussed. Also a networking opportunity!!

 

Speaker: Anne Besimen-Akinfenwa, MA, LLP, CMHP, QIDP

Anne has worked in the human services field for over 20 years. She has developed and implemented programs, and trainings for major corporations in areas of Family dynamics, Caring for Aging Parents, Parenting and Effects of Mental Illness on the Family. She continues to work in the human services field as a psychologist, trainer and consultant with focus on mental illness and developmental disabilities. Consulting and training in effective ways to work with individuals with different strengths and abilities is a major focus of her career.

Anne is a dynamic speaker who brings passion and compassion to issues of mental health and copingmethods for families.Opportunity toNetwork
